Sekondi Hasaacas defender Theophilus Awortwe believes that his teammates at the Division One League side want to achieve the 'operation Premier League' target despite their recent setback.

The Division One League among others were cancelled by the GFA with the body citing COVID-19 and lack of financial power as the reason for their decision.

Hasaacas, who were eager to earn promotion to Ghana's top flight league, were hugely affected by the decision. They will now have to wait until next season to push for qualification.

Awortwe, however, thinks that the senior players in the team are still dedicated to the cause.

"I believe all the senior players are ready to stay and fulfil the mission of 'Operation Premier' for Hasaacas," he stated on Spice FM.

He also revealed that the players in the team talk to management about their problems during the COVID-19 period.

"We are always in contact with the club's management, they always try to solve some of our problems."
