Hearts captain Fatawu Mohammed likely to leave the club at the end of the season

Fatawu Mohammed, the captain of Hearts of Oak, may depart the club at the end of the season to join another team when his contract ends.

Mohammed joined Hearts of Oak from Real Tamale United in 2013 and has been a vital member of the squad this season, helping Phobians to the top of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League.

The 29-year-old agreed to a two-year contract extension in 2018, which will expire at the end of the season. According to Ghanasportspage.com sources, the footballer is hesitant to extend his contract with the Phobians.

After more than six years at the club, the solid defender is less motivated to continue playing for Accra Hearts of Oak because he wants to find new challenges elsewhere.

Fatawu had appeared 21 times for Hearts of Oak this season in the Premier League.

Hearts of Oak will clash with Medeama SC tomorrow in the Ghana Premier League matchday 29 game.
