Accra Hearts of Oak maintained their unbeaten away record in the 2015/2016 season of the Ghana Premier League after holding Asante Kotoko to a 1-1 draw in Kumsai. The Porcupine warriors took the lead in the first half after Kwame Boateng pounced on Emmanuel Gyamfi’s ambitious strike from long range that was pushed back into play by goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye. Kotoko looked composed in attack though they failed to establish dominance in the midfield battle in the first half. The Phobians returned strongly in the second half with a half-time change that saw midfielder Tawiah come off for striker Eric Kumi to put more pressure on Kotoko. In the 52nd minute, Patrick Razak found himself in space to react to Isaac Mensah’s good lobbed pass into the box to fetch the equalizer. Patrick Razak was electrifying with his pace and tormented the Kotoko defense the entire second half but failed to increase the tally as both sides shared the spoils to keep Hearts of Oak in first position with 38 points after 21 matches while Kotoko climb to 4th place with 33 points.
