Hearts midfielder Winful Cobinna bids time for Black Stars debut

Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobinnah says he is eager to make his national team debut but bids time for his international debut.

The winger who has been sensational in the Ghana Premier League was invited by Coach Kwesi Appiah for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia and he double international friendlies against the United States and Mexico however, could not feature in any of those games.

Meanwhile, the midfielder revealed he was excited by the call up and the experience was marvelous.

“I was honoured when I got the invitation, I met some of the senior players in the National team and it was a nice experience,” he told Ghana Sports Newspaper.

“I was very happy to be part of the team. I believe is a matter of time, if the right time comes I will be fielded.

“Personally I really want to make my debut for the senior National team and it will be a dream come true.”

His club, Accra Hearts of Oak has struggled without him but his return is supposed to boost the club as they face Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
