Strategic Committee chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei says the team’s first half performance has not been good enough.

Accra Hearts of Oak are fourth after 15 matches in the Ghana Premier League. The former Ghana Champions had a good start to the season after winning 13 points in their first five games but failed to continue in that manner, as they accumulated another 13points in their last 10 games.

Coach Keneichi Yatuhashi has come under heavy criticism from some section of the fans and management team.

Meanwhile, strategic management team chairman, Vincent Sowah odotei believes the amount of investment being made into the team should reap better results. “We are doing better than last season or over the past few seasons, I think this is the best position Hearts of Oak has been for some time now but for us we are looking past just last season. We are looking at the history of the club, we are looking at the size and tradition of the Club,” speaking on Kumasi based radio station Nhyira FM.

“Last year alone is not the Benchmark to measure our performance looking at the amount of money Togbe is injecting into the team. At the moment Hearts is the highest paying team in Ghana. The minimum a player earns at Accra Hearts of oak is equivalent to $250 and the maximum is $ 650.”

Hearts of oak will begin the second round of the Ghana Premier League with a clash with Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
