Hearts of Oak can never beat us come Sunday - Amos Frimpong

Captain of Asante Kotoko Amos Frimpong is confident his side will recover from their heavy defeat to Dwarfs on Wednesday and beat rivals Hearts of Oak in week 21 of the Ghana Premier league at the Kumasi Baba Yara sports stadium. Kotoko gave up their second position on the league log for a fourth place after succumbing to a 4-1 defeat in cape coast. Despite the defeat, captain Amos Frimpong believes history will favour them to go past the Phobians. According to Frimpong, in the first round of the league, they lost to New Edubiase and came to Accra to beat Hearts thus their defeat to Dwarfs signifies a repeat of what happened in the first round. "It can never happen that Hearts of Oak will beat us come Sunday because same scenario happened in the First Round in which we played New Edubiase and lost to them but went to Accra and beat Hearts of Oak, so the defeat against Dwarfs won't affect us at all and I repeat Hearts of Oak can never beat us come Sunday"- Amos told Kumasi based SILVER FM. Kotoko defeated Hearts of Oak 1-0 in the first round of the league and will be hoping to repeat another win on Sunday to uplift themselves on the league table.
