Strategic Committee Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Braimah Akambi says the club is doing everything possible not repeat the mistakes of last season in the transfer window.

The club was linked to a number of top quality players at the beginning of last season, but in the end had to settle for their second choices. And this time round the club wants to start the preseason with all the players they will purchase for a swift integration into the side, as they are gunning to improve on last season’s 3rd place finish.

In an interview with Asempah FM, Alhaji said, “I’m keen on discussing the ambitions of the team in the upcoming season than revisiting the past one. It pains a lot to remember what went wrong for the team because we had the chance of winning the league, but we dropped some crucial points along the way and we’re doing everything in our power not repeat such mistakes again, that’s the reason why we’ve started our purchasing as quickly as possible.”

“Last season we didn’t do recruitment early which I believe caused us in a way but the players we’ve brought into the team, I have no doubt that we’re on the right course of challenging for the title again despite the fact that some of them are coming from division one and I know that every team in the league would like to have them, and I can assure you that they’ve proven themselves during our preseason.”
