Hearts of Oak to appoint new assistant coach soon - Frank Nelson hints

Board member of Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson has hinted that the club will appoint an assistant coach before the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season start.

After Edward Nii Odoom taking over as the interim coach of club after the exit of Kim Grant, the club has been without an assistant gaffer.

With the new season scheduled to kick off on November 13, Mr Nelson said the lack of football activities prevented his outfit from naming assistant trainer.

According to him, a new assistant will be named soon before the season start.

"We are working on getting an assistant coach before football activities resume," he told Kumasi based Sikka FM.

"We are yet to hire an assistant coach because there are no football activities," he added.

Hearts of Oak have resumed training ahead of the new season.

The Phobians are aiming to end their 10 years trophy drought ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
