Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Akambi has traveled to South Africa with Daniel Kodie today for the injured player to undergo surgery.

The exciting midfielder suffered a career-threatening injury last year and has since not featured for the Phobians.

At a point, the club appeared to have dejected Daniel Kodie and it took the intervention of concerned fans for the necessary attention to be channeled into taking care of him.

Finally, after several appointments to see specialists, all is set for the highly-rated midfielder to undergo surgery.

Today, the player has departed Ghana for South Africa in the company of Alhaji Akambi ahead of a scheduled surgery to correct his injury.

Once the surgery is successful, Daniel Kodie will undergo a period of rehabilitation in a bid to gradually make full recovery from the injury before returning to action.
