Sadiq Abdulai Abu, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, has shared his vision for Hearts of Oak football club if he were to be appointed as Managing Director.

Last year, Baba Sadiq was rumoured to be in the running for the position, but ultimately, he was not selected.

Speaking to Radio Gold, Baba Sadiq expressed his admiration for the Accra Hearts of Oak, stating that the club has had an enormous impact on Ghanaian football.

He also outlined his plans to leverage the club's history and legacy, attract more young fans, and ensure that the club remains commercially successful.

Baba Sadiq stated that his focus would be on bringing innovation and commercial partnerships to the club, to ensure that Hearts of Oak remains the biggest and most relevant club in Ghana.

“So for me, the thinking was how do we leverage all these, the history, the legacy of Accra Hearts of Oak and bring all of that to bare and ensure that the millennials continue and take it off from there.

“And how do we ensure that we are able to build on that to attract the attention of young people so that they can fill up the stadia, they can buy our merchandise, and they can ensure that we bring all the commercial partnerships that we have is top notch.

“Bring all the innovation that I’m known for into ensuring that Accra Hearts of Oak continues to be the biggest and the most relevant and commercially successful club from Ghana.”

Baba Sadiq is now an aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for the Okaikoi Central Constituency on the ticket of the NDC.
