Hearts of Oak could have sold me to make some money but they didn’t listen – Fatawu Mohammed

Departing Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed has disclosed that he wished the club would have transferred him to make some money.

Following a meeting last week, the experienced defender was informed by officials of the club that he is no longer needed.

Reports gathered indicate that he was informed that he is not in the plans of head coach Slavko Matic and must look for a new club.

Speaking to Sports Obama TV in an interview, Fatawu Mohammed said he is not losing although he has been shown the exit door.

“I don’t lose if Hearts of Oak says they don’t need my service anymore. I have played for the club for ten years, they paid and accommodate me for ten years. They did everything for me and gain nothing in the end,” Fatawu Mohammed said.

The outgoing Hearts of Oak captain added, “They could have sold me to Togo or Benin and take something but they didn’t, so I don’t lose anything.”

Due to the current situation, the defender is not part of the Hearts of Oka squad that played against Nsoatreman FC today.
