Hearts of Oak deny $56,000 refund demands from coach Frank Nuttall

Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak have debunked demanding a supposed $56,000 refund from suspended coach Frank Nuttall.

The former Zamalek trainer is currently under suspension for unsporting and unethical behaviours which contradicted the club’s code of conduct according to the statement released by the club last week.

However, a three-member committee made up of Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe (Chairman), Mrs Ivy Heward-Mills and Mr Frank Nwokolo Nelson was instituted to investigate the coach has submitted its findings and recommendations to the Hearts Board.

The Scottish has been accused of advising players not to extend their contract with the promise of getting them a new club abroad.

Nuttall is said to have admitted to receiving some cash for the services rendered from these acts which amount to a conflict of interest.

Multiple reports emerged Monday that the Phobians are demanding an amount of US$ 50,000 and US$ 6,000 cuts he made from the free agent transfers of some two unnamed players.

But according to Administrative Manager Hackman Aidoo, there is no such action by the club on the table.

“I was surprised to hear that Nuttall has been asked to refund the money he gained from his dealings,” he told starrsportsgh.com.

“No such thing has cropped up because nobody could confirm or gather information that he made some gains though he admitted to those things.

“I don’t think there is any refund issue in the whole matter,” Aidoo stated.

Accra Hearts of Oak were expected to officially announce the sack of Frank Nuttall on Monday but starrsportsgh.com gathers that has been delayed by some bureaucratic processes within the club for the approval of a communique on the club’s decision.
