Former Hearts of Oak captain, Dan Quaye wants fans of the club to lower expectations for participation in Africa.
Having won the MTN FA Cup last season, the Phobians are representing Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary stages.
Ahead of the second-round clash against AS Bamako from Mali, ex-Phobian Dan Quaye has indicated that he does not believe the club has enough experience and quality to play in Africa.
As a result, he wants the supporters of the team lower expectations.
“People should lower their expectations on Hearts of Oak going to Africa. They lack experienced players and have a lower standard of quality,” Dan Quaye told Hot FM in an interview.
This weekend, Hearts of Oak will welcome AS Bamako at the Accra Sports Stadium for the first leg encounter of the tie.
Subsequently, the Phobians will travel to Mali next weekend for the reverse fixture.
