Hearts of Oak legend Bernard Don Bortey has rated Abdul Aziz Nurudeen as the best defensive midfielder in the Ghana Premier League.

The 25-year-old was in sensational form when Hearts of Oak narrowly defeated Nsoatreman FC in matchday 2 of the Ghana Premier League.

Abdul Aziz marshalled the midfield as his outfit strolled to a 1-0 win over the Nsoatre-based club at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

His outstanding performance did not go unnoticed after scooping the man of the match award after the game. It was his first competitive game for the Phobians in over a year after recovering for an injury.

“The best DM in this country. Unless he is not fit. Nakamura 🔥🔪” he wrote on X.

The enterprising midfielder will hope to maintain his performance throughout the season.
