Salim Adams, a loanee from Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak, has been included in the preseason squad of MLS side FC Cincinnati for the 2023 season. The 20-year-old was acquired by FC Cincinnati on loan.
Adams recently left Ghana to join the youth side of FC Cincinnati, FC Cincinnati 2. His strong performances during training sessions with the youth team earned him a spot in the first team for a 26-day preseason camp in Florida.
According to an official statement from FC Cincinnati, "After two weeks of training at Mercy Health Training Center, FC Cincinnati has begun the Orange and Blue's 26-day preseason camp in Clearwater, Florida." The statement also mentioned that the roster for the preseason camp includes four players signed with FC Cincinnati 2 and several unsigned players.
The inclusion of Adams in the first team represents a significant step in his career and he will aim to make a strong impression during the preseason camp.
The preseason camp in Florida will provide Adams with the opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially secure a spot in the first team for the upcoming season. It will also allow him to acclimate to the new surroundings and style of play in the United States.
