Ghana Premier League side, Hearts of Oak are set to sign enterprising defender, Konadu Yiadom ahead of the new football season, Footballghana.com understands.

The former West African Football Academy [WAFA] captain has been a long-term target for the Phobians.

Hearts of Oak who will represent the country in the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup are seeking to improve their side to make an impact.

The club have identified the lanky central defender as a player to improve the side.

Hearts of Oak, who are the champions of the FA Cup have agreed a sum with the camp of the player with payment yet to be made, Footballghana.com understands.

Meanwhile, foreign clubs have also expressed their interest in the promising defender.

Konadu Yiadom was impressive in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League despite WAFA suffering relegation.

Yiadom is currently at the camp of the Black Galaxies and featured in the games against Benin in the preliminary round of the 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
