Accra Hearts of Oak are on the verge of hijacking Victorien Adebayor's move to Legon Cities.
Adebayor after joining Danish outfit HB Koge on loan has struggled for game time.
However, the club in a statement last week confirmed that they have reached an agreement to loan out the striker to Legon Cities.
“In this way, we meet the wishes of Adebayor. For personal reasons, he has a strong need to be close to his family for the time to come. We have listened to that.”
But according to multiple media reports, Hearts of Oak have hijacked the move.
The report further says, Togbe Afede, who is the majority shareholder of the club will meet the player and his agent today and conclude on the deal.
The 24-year-old was a huge figure in the domestic top flight after netting 23 goals in 27 games for Inter Allies during his two-year stint with the Club.
He was the top scorer in the truncated League last season.
