Hearts of Oak new signing Kofi Kordzi has set sights on winning the goal king of the Special Competition which commences next month at various match venues.

On Thursday, Kofi Kordzi penned a three-year with the Phobians from Royal FC after the 22-year-old had a two-week trial with the club during which he impressed.

He scored twice as Hearts defeated the Black Satellites of Ghana 2-0 in a friendly and also provided an assist in the 2-1 victory over Skyy FC last weekend.

”My target is to emerge as the goal King of the Special Competition. For the pressure at Hearts of Oak, my God will see me through,” he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

”But for the team, as our coach has said our target is to win the NC special competition.”

The goal poacher became the sixth major signing by the club this window since Kim Grant took over as new coach in November.

The other five new players are goalkeeper Richmond Ayi, defender Hassan Mohammed and midfielders Charles MacKarthy, Ibrahim Sumaila and Dominic Eshun.
