Hearts of Oak continued their preparations ahead of the commencement of the Special Competition with a surprise 2-1 loss to Royal FC in a friendly match on Wednesday at the Pobiman Sports Complex.

The match formed part of preparations for coach Kim Grant to sharpen his troops ahead of the Normalization Committee's stop-gap competition.
