Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Hearts of Oak could part ways with head coach, Slavko Matic.

The Serbian manager was not in the dugout in their matchday 20 Super Clash against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

David Ocloo, who is the assistant coach led the side as the Phobians stunned their rivals with a lone goal courtesy of Konadu Yiadom's header.

Hearts of Oak also emerged as the 2023 President's Cup winners.

Ahead of the clash, the 47-year-old was prevented from holding training at Pobiman by the Hearts of Oak fans on Friday morning.

This was due to the poor run of the club having suffered a back to back defeats against Aduana Stars and city rivals, Accra Great Olympics.

The fans demanded that the manager is not good enough to lead the side again.

Following the incident, Matic reported the incident to the Criminal Investigation Department at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

However, Matic was advised by the police to stay away from the club ahead of the clash as reported by Footballghana.com.

However, reports in the local media suggest that Matic is likely to leave the club.

Matic replaced Samuel Boadu on a two-year deal.

Meanwhile, David Ocloo is set to take over the club as the interim manager.

Hearts of Oak now sit 5th on the league with 31 points and will play Bibiani Gold Stars at the Dun's Park in the matchday 21 games on Saturday.
