Hearts of Oak will be crowned 2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions on Saturday.

The Phobians will be hosted at the Red Bull Arena by WAFA in their final game of the season.

Hearts of Oak confirmed their position as champions in the penultimate round of the campaign on July 11 when title rivals Asante Kotoko lost at Bechem United while they drew at home to Liberty Professionals and opened a 4-point lead with a game to spare.

But Samuel Boadu and his squad have had to wait until the final day of the season to get their hands on the trophy.

Hearts of Oak have endured a long wait for their 21st Ghana Premier League title. It comes just two days short of exactly 12 years since they received the trophy after a triumphant 2008/09 campaign – July 19, 2009.

The Accra-based giants are entitled to  40 gold medals and GH¢250,000 as prize money while rivals Asante Kotoko – who have already confirmed the second spot – also receive GH¢150,000.

The race for third spot between WAFA SC, Aduana and Medeama SC will be settled on the final day.

There is an GH¢80,000 reward for the team to finish in that position.

Meanwhile, the playing have landed at Sogakope for the game that has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT.
