Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has assured that the club will leave a mark in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

The Phobians on Sunday night at the Baba Yara Stadium defeated Bechem United to defend their MTN FA Cup title.

The win means the Accra-based club will represent the country in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup together with Kotoko who will compete in the Champions League.

“That is where we belong. Hearts of Oak belong to Africa and it’s about time we make sure that we make an impact in Africa and to assist Ghana to make our ranking, our seeding, and the coefficient to go up for Africa,” Odotei said in an interview with Precise FM.

“The target is to do better than what we did last year. It takes time to build momentum in continental endeavors so we definitely expect to do better than we did last year so we are going to prepare to give a good account of ourselves," he added.

The win mean Hearts of Oak have won their 12th FA Cup title.

Hearts of Oak will begin its campaign on the weekend of September 16-18, 2022.
