Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has lavished praises at Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor for having already established a very strong side ahead of their Caf Confederations Cup campaign.
In October, the former AshantiGold SC trainer was named the head coach of the side and have taken the club through their preparation stage towards CAF second-tier competition.
The Porcupine Warriors have won almost all their friendly matches as they have so far intensified preparations including their recent outing on Wednesday against Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium where they thrashed the Tema-based side 3-0.
"If you look at their first half play and what they did, it tells you that the coach knows what he's doing and he's trying very well to give some of the players he feels should be in the first team the chance to be in the first team," Opare said.
The Hearts scribe advised Kotoko to keep improving despite their 3-0 victory against Inter Allies going into Africa as the CAF Confederations Cup comes with different dynamics.
"It was not a bad side at all but what I will plead for is that he should not be carried away by the 3-0 results against Inter Allies because the terrain is different in Africa.
"The players will have to brace up for a bigger challenge than what they had against Inter Allies."
Opare Addo is of the staunch believe that Asante Kotoko will go far in their Africa journey as long as they attach every importance to games they play prior to the CAF Confederations Cup campaign.
"In every situation and every game of preparation, they should consider it as a CAF Confederationa Cup game and with that same attitude, they can go into every game and make Ghana proud."
Asante Kotoko will be playing the Black Meteors on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium before moving to Kenya on Wednesday to play Kariobangi Sharks.
