Hearts to make move for Daniel Nii Adjei

Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak are set to make a move on former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel  Nii Adjei, who left TP Mezembe after winning the CAF Confederations Cup. 

The 29 year old announced on Facebook his departure from the Congolese giants on Monday and he is now free to join any club.

He posted,“Glory glory hallelujah i came to Congo as a stranger and now I’m leaving as a hero i thank God for a successful 5 seasons in TP Mazembe which ends today.

“God has been good to me for winning everything that is in football i can’t say much but all i say is thank you Lord thank you Lord all i have to say is thank you lord.”

Meanwhile, sources close to footballghana.com revealed Accra Hearts of Oak are making quick moves to sign the midfielder despite interest from other club.

The Phobians have begun preseason training, however, in the past weeks they have been shrouded with bad press, following the reluctance of some of their players to extend their contracts.

Defender Vincent Atinga went to the player status committee to request for floating status to free him from the obligations of the club.

Other players like Kwame Kizito and Captain Thomas Abbey are also close to leaving the club.

Meanwhile, the club is also making efforts of bringing in veteran attacker Yahaya Mohammed to the club with Daniel Nii Adjei also a possible addition before the start of next season.
