After a marathon of meeting, the Executive Council of the GFA cancelled the 2019/20 football season due to coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to GTV Sports Plus in an interview, Henry Asante assured that all players will undergo a mandatory test before the next season starts as part of measures to help curb the spread of the virus.

"A number of scenarios have been considered; obviously, we cannot play without testing the players. The CAF medical team issued a statement sent to all member associations that before football begins, testing has become mandatory," he said.
