Hertha Berlin coach Pál Dárdai has heaped praise on Kevin-Prince Boateng following an exceptional first-half display against Bochum.

Head coach Pal Dardai put the former AC Milan player in the starting lineup against VfL Bochum. As the coach stated in the press conference following the final whistle, it was a wise decision, even if it wasn't enough to win the game.

“He was almost the best player in the first half. He went into every duel as long as he could,” Dárdai said. "He told me he could play 45 minutes or an hour,"

"He plays good passes forward, wins the ball and then we have opportunities to counterattack. Everything was just as we had planned it,” he added. "Then you have to score the goals too,"

Hertha Berlin's goal to stay in the league was cut short as they surrendered the equalizer from a set piece in injury time. The away game against VfL Wolfsburg, which is unimportant for the Berliners, is now scheduled for the last day of the season. It is probable that Boateng will be called back into the starting lineup for his final game.
