Mohammed Salisu will undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in the UK before his announcement by Southampton according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League side have completed the signing of the enterprising centre back for a fee of £10.9million from Real Valladolid.

The 21-year-old will fly to the United Kingdom where he will undergo his medical before he is officially unveiled as a player for the English Premier League side but will undergo a mandatory quarantine process before his deal is formalized by the English Premier League side.

Southampton triggered the release clause if the defender.

The defender was a prime target for Ralph Hasenhüttl who was in search of a centre-back before the end of the season.

The player’s arrival could give Hasenhüttl a big relief ahead of the new season after the team’s defensive woes in the just-ended campaign.

Salisu has been an important part of Valladolid’s defence and helped them to finish the season above the relegation zone, in 16th place.

Salisu started 30 of Valladolid’s 38 La Liga matches in the just-ended season.
