High level of competition in Ghana Premier League excites Nyantakyi
GFA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi

The president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwasi Nyantakyi has been impressed by the level of competition in this year’s Ghana premier league despite the fact that the 2016 league season is without a title sponsor after ten matches following First Capital Plus Bank’s decision to put their partnership with the GFA on hold.

“I am very impressed with the level of competition in the premier league. Its very tight, very competitive and the organization is also good. You see clubs marketing their matches and more spectators are getting to the stands and it shows that this year’s league is different.” the GFA boss said in Cape Coast as he attended the official inauguration of the newly built Cape Coast stadium on Tuesday. “The FA has done a lot. We organize seminars for the clubs, we talk a lot about the league. We have trained coaches, we’ve trained referees, marketing officers and all these enhance the local league.” Nyantakyi added.

This season's league has attracted the biggest number of attendance after the Super clash between Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded close to 40,000 supporters at the Accra Sports stadium.
