High marks for Mubarak Wakaso on his Jiangsu Suning debut

Mubarak Wakaso played his first-ever match for Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League on Friday.

The versatile midfielder excelled on his debut as he bossed the midfield for his new team when they faced Shandong Luneng in their match-day clash at the Dalian Sports Center Stadium.

The game ended in a scoreless draw, Wakaso was replaced by Zichang Huang on the 83rd minute of the match.

The 30-year-old joined Jiangsu Suning from Spanish La Liga club Deportivo Alaves on a fee of four million euros.

Wakaso has capped 54 times for the senior national team of Ghana, scoring twelve goals.
