A solitary strike from Bernard Somuah on Wednesday afternoon propelled Asante Kotoko to defeat Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0 in a pre-season friendly match.
In a game played in Cape Coast, both teams fielded strong teams for the friendly contest as the coaches watched from the dugout to assess the performance of the players.
In addition to giving new players the chance to feature in the friendly, both managers used the opportunity to test some of the tactics practised in training.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a narrow 1-0 win thanks to a solitary strike from Bernard Somuah in the first half.
