Highly-rated youngster Kingsley Osei Effah targets Asante Kotoko return

Asante Kotoko midfielder Kingsley Osei Effah has targeted a return to the club after his loan stint at Karela United.

Osei Effah joined the Aiyinase based side on a six-month loan deal on the transfer deadline day after struggling for playing time at the Porcupine Warriors.

Justice Blay, Kwame Adom Frimpong, and Mudasiru Salifu are all ahead of him in the pecking order hence coach Maxwell Konadu had to loan him out to get more playing time and adjust to the Ghana Premier League.

"I am aware of the competition in the team; which is good, but that has limited my playing time," admits Kingsley Effah. "As a player whose dream is to play day in and day out, I thought that, a loan move away for a while would be very good for me."

"I need to get more playing time and improve my game. And when I return, it would be different because I know that, there is a lot that I still need to achieve with Kotoko."

He added, "I thank the coaches and the Management and pray that the COVID-19 pandemic would be over so that, football can get back and we can get back to business."
