Highly-rated youngster Nana Babil sets Ghana Premier League record

Highly-rated youngster Nana Kofi Babil has made history in the Ghana Premier League by becoming the first player-ever to score in three consecutive games as a substitute.

Babil came off the substitute bench to snatch a point for the Yellow and Mauve lads as they drew 1-1 with Liberty Professionals at the Karl Reindorf Park in Dansoman on Saturday.

His goal against the Scientific Soccer lads means he has become the first player to score three times coming from the bench.

After the game, Medeama took to twitter to congratulate him on his recent achievement for the club.

The 17-year-old opening his scoring this term with a fine strike against Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast after coming off the bench in their match day one encounter.

He repeated the same feat against against Hearts of Oak as they thrashed them 3-0 in Tarkwa to continue their impressive start to the season.

He is currently joint top of the top goal scorers chart together with Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed who has also scored three goals in three games played so far this season.
