'Home Disadvantage' is the reason behind Kotoko's poor performance - Dr Patrick Ofori

Former Psychologist of Asante Kotoko, Dr Patrick Ofori believes the fans impact at the Baba Yara Stadium has a big negative impact on the team's performance in what he calls "home disadvantage".

According to the Doctor, the Porcupine Warriors were capable of offering their best when they played against Cameroonian giants Coton Sports because Cameroon had less pressure on the players which helped a lot and is hoping atmosphere at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be cordial when Coton Sport arrive in Kumasi for the second leg on January 20.

"The main reason Kotoko performs better away than home is the home disadvantage".

"I call it home disadvantage because the pressure is unnecessary, the supporters should allow the players and coach to settle in and the expectations are too much", Ofori told Oyerapa FM.

"They shouldn't allow any individual who has an agenda against an individual in the Kotoko team or the leaders to bring the team down".

He added that fans role in a team is to support at all times and not turn to hunt against your club, "They are supposed to support throughout and not to turn against their own team". They should come to the stadium to support when the going gets tough,” he urged.
