Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe believes he can win the signature of Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe.
The Mirror says Defoe can leave the Black Cats this summer thanks to a clause in his contract, freeing him from the deal should the side be relegated.
Defoe, 34, has also been offered a two-year deal worth over £100,000 per week, with an option to extend it further.
Howe is very confident in landing both players on a free this summer - hoping their experience could help push his squad to the next level.
The former Tottenham forward previously played for the Cherries, between 2000 and 2001, while on-loan from West Ham.
