Hull City manager Silva laments poor start in Palace loss

Hull City manager Marco Silva has revealed where his team went wrong in their 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday

The Tigers went down after just three minutes after Wilfred Zaha opened the scoring for the Eagles. The loss ensured Hull will be playing Championship football next season after a poor campaign in their return to the Premier League.

After the match, Silva reflected: "The first three minutes. Everything changes after that. There was time to react, but we didn't.

"We gave our opponent a 1-0 lead and after that everything becomes difficult. It was a bad mistake, and after Crystal Palace could play the game as they wanted to.

"We were too slow in possession. Then Crystal Palace win one corner and score again. When we have players like Michael Dawson, Harry Maguire, Andrea Ranocchia and Alfred N'Diaye on our side, conceding from a corner can only be down to a lack of focus and to do that in matches at this level makes things very difficult.
