I am unhappy with my players performance against Legon Cities - Prosper Narteh Ogum

Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum claims he was unhappy with the performance of his players despite returning to winning ways against Legon Cities.

The Porcupine Warriors after going three games without a win made a return to winning ways in the matchday 9 games.

Kotoko were hosted by the Royals at the Theatre of Dreams in Dwau on Sunday.

Kotoko broke the deadlock courtesy of Cameroonian striker, Franck Etouga on the 29th minute.

Ahmed Rahman’s header will beat Razak Abalora in post for Kotoko on the 33rd minute for the Royals’ equalizer.

Franck Etouga brought the two-time African champions back into the lead with 77 minutes on the clock, following an assist from fellow Cameroonian, Georges Mfegue.

“I wasn’t satisfied with the performance, if you look at the way we played, that’s not typically how we play," Ogum said after the game.

“When we scored we were playing better but because the goal we conceded was a bad goal, it just took the zeal out of our team and basically that made us to be a bit distracted.

“But then when we went into the dressing room, I told them those things happen in the game and we need to pick the pieces together.

“So in terms of performance-wise, I’m not happy about the way we played especially after we conceded but before we conceded I think we were solid, we were marking, we were tackling, we were passing the ball well.

“But then because of the nature of the goal, we just went off.

“If you look at when we even scored the first goal, we had about two, three quick chances that we could have made it game over but then we still went sleeping and it’s not good.

“I’m talking to them about that; sometimes you score and you get the chances, you need to score again and then you could make it game over so that you can relax and play your game," he added.

Kotoko will host WAFA in the matchday 10 games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
