Asante Kotoko coach Charles Akunnor says he deserves to land the Reds coaching job regarding what he has done in his coaching career.
The newly-appointed gaffer penned a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
He masterminded Dreams FC promotion to the Ghana Premier League and lead Ashanti Gold SC to the second spot of the 2016/17 season after helping them to escape relegation during the previous season.
The ex- Black Stars skipper believes he merit to coach Kotoko after what he has achieved with AshantiGold SC and Dreams FC.
"I think I've done a good job to land an offer from one of the biggest clubs in Ghana," C.K Akunnor told Nhyira FM.
The former Hearts of Oak gaffer also called for support from the media and the fans.
"I asked for media support for Michael Osei (ex- Kotoko coach) sometime back and I'll ask same for myself. Is not an easy job but with each and everyone’s support we can achieve," he added.
C.K Akunnor has joined the Kumasi-based club for three years as the replacement of Paa Kwesi Fabian who resigned on September.
