Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Myron Boadu has revealed a failed attempt to land a deal with Ajax at youthful stage.
The 20-year old who currently ply his trade for AZ Alkmaar tried his luck with the Dutch giants which proved futile.
According to him, before signing for AZ Alkmaar he had trials with Ajax but was not signed at the time.
He also disclosed his dad internship with Ajax which proved futile.
''I grew up in the Bijlmer. I did an internship at Ajax, was not hired and then AZ came. My father was also scouted by Ajax, from Ghana. He was allowed to do an internship, but was not hired'', he said.
Boadu now scores against Ajax and it no longer gives him any feelings of revenge. ''Not anymore, but when I was young I had it. I wanted to show them who I was. In the first I never had that feeling. I just want to beat the best and Ajax is the best'', the attacker concludes with praise.
