In his first phase at HFC, Braydon Manu became a crowd favorite. Now he's back - and thrilled again. In the podcast he also talks about his beginnings at HFC and the difficult time in Darmstadt.
Three goals, four assists - that is Braydon Manu's record after 14 games for Halleschen FC. The return in winter has obviously paid off for both sides. Manu previously played for the red-whites between 2017 and 2019. In the meantime he was at Darmstadt 98.
"I was very happy about the points because they are extremely important in the relegation battle," said Manu of the 3-0 win in Dresden. "That was a step in the right direction. But the job is not done yet. We still have to do a lot," he warns at the same time. Then he tells how he experienced the reception of the fans and how much the players miss the appendix in the stadium.
"I didn't play a lot in Darmstadt. As a young player, however, I need match practice in order to develop further," says Braydon Manu about his situation in winter. So he asked the club to loan him out. When the request came from the HFC, he didn't have to think twice, says Manu.
The 20-year-old Braydon Manu had to train for two weeks at HFC in the summer of 2017 before he was signed. "I also had another offer. But I really wanted to bite through here," he says. Shortly afterwards, he caused enthusiasm in his first game.
The first impressions at Darmstadt 98 were good for Braydon Manu. But still in preparation for 2019, he injured his cruciate ligament and fell out for months. In the podcast he looks back on the decisive moments of his time with the "Lilien".
