The top scorer of the 2007/08 Ghana Premier League stated that he had only five substitute appearances for the senior national team, the Black Stars, throughout his playing career.

Reflecting on his contributions to Ghana, Bekoe expressed that he is not disappointed, as he believes it is the outcome that God had destined.

When questioned about any regrets he might have regarding his national team career, he emphatically responded, "Never! Never!! Because in my life, I don't know what is called disappointment. I have something called 'game changer'."

He continued, "When you don't have a plan B in life, that's when you encounter problems. Personally, while I was playing, I had obtained my Diploma certificate and engaged in part-time art works during my free time."

"I didn't solely rely on football for my career, even though football is not a part-time job. It is important to have something else that keeps you moving," he explained to Joy Sports.
