Black Stars coach Otto Add has expressed satisfaction after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) re-appointed him and his technical team, until the end of December 2022.

The quartet, who masterminded Ghana’s qualification to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament will stay on to see to Ghana’s preparation to the global showpiece, the 2023 AFCON qualifiers and the World Cup itself.

The coaches will soon name their squad for matchday 1 and 2 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation qualifiers and the four-nation tournament in Japan.

"I have a contract for six months until after the World Cup. We have international matches in June, a 10-day trip in September and then the preparation for the World Cup are on the agenda," Otto Addo is quoted as having said.

"From scouts to analysts to trainers, I have a very good team around me that I trust and that supports me very well. That’s most important. My assistant coach, Didi Dramani takes care of many things on-site. Our Technical Advisor Chris Hughton also does a lot of the work for me."

Otto, 46, became first Ghanaian to have represented Ghana at the World Cup and also qualified the team to the mundial as a coach.

Ghana have been placed in Group H for the World Cup together with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
