Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew says he hopes to continue his goal form for his club side, Crystal Palace.

The 30-year-old after 13 months of failing to score finally found the back of the net against Southampton on Wednesday night.

Palace hosted the Saints at the Selhurst Park. Jordan impressively scored from a tight angle to snatch a draw for the Eagles.

Jordan last scored in November 2020 against Leeds United.

Speaking after the game, the forward admitted that he has been unlucky but hope to continue to with his goalscoring form.

"Sometimes in football, I’ve been really, really unlucky and think today luck was on my side," he told BBC after the game. "Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t work. It’s just football.

"I control what I can control and the things I can’t control I don’t focus on. I just focus on what I can control. Today it went my way.

"I hope [I continue to score], I hope so. But the most important thing for me is to make sure I work hard for the team," he added.

Ayew has now taken his overall goal tally in the Premier League to 27, the most by a Ghanaian player.

He also has the highest number of assists for a Ghanaian player in the Premier League with 13.
