I have no problem with King Faisal - Coach Nurudeen Amadu

Former King Faisal head coach, Nurudeen Amadu has insisted he has no issues with the club and the bankroller of the club, Alhaji Grusah.

Amadu steered the club to escape relegation last season after taking up the coaching mid-way last season.

Having started the 2021/22 campaign on a good note in the first half, their poor start in the second half saw the gaffer resign from his post.

Amadu however says with the Insha Allah lads and also had no problems with Alhaji Grunsah’s presence in the dugout during games.

“I think that I am a former player of King Faisal, a former coach, when things were very difficult last season, I came in to give a helping hand because the time that I came was not appropriate. They were at the bottom of the table so I took a risk and all things being equal, we were able to escape relegation,” he told JoySports.

“After that, I just decided to stay on to see how possible I could also ply my trade there. So it’s been good since I joined the club.”

Quizzed on a compensation package from the club following his resignation, the coach replied: ” Not necessarily, those things are not an issue to me for now because we were like a family. I had a contract with the club at the beginning of this season.

“It’s a young club and Alhaji is running the club per his might and his capability but I think that times have changed and we need to do things professionally and back away from the old ways that things are done. very few clubs are run professionally in this country.”

King Faisal currently occupy the 14th position with 30 points, just two points above the relegation zone with eight games still to go, and will play Bechem United in the matchday 27 games this weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.
