I have started talks with Sudanese FA over national team job – Coach Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghanaian international turned coach, James Kwesi Appiah has revealed that he has begun talks with the Sudanese Football Association over a possible appointment as the new head coach for their national team.

The gaffer has been in charge of Ghana’s Black Stars until just last week when all technical teams of the various national teams of the West African country were dissolved.

That decision ultimately meant that Coach Kwesi Appiah whose contract with the Ghana national team had expired has been relieved of his duties.

Days later, the coach has disclosed that he has been contacted by the Sudanese FA as they try to hand him their national team coaching job.

''We started talking yesterday (Sunday) and so it's true, but these are preliminary talks. We are talking so we will see what happens,'' Coach Kwesi Appiah said while speaking to GHANASoccernet.com.

If the talks go on successfully, the Ghanaian tactician will be returning to Sudan for a second time following his last job in the country between 2014 to 2017 when he was in charge of Al-Khartoum Al Watani SC.
