I left HB Koge because I wasn’t playing – Victorien Adebayor

Legon Cities FC new signing, Victorien Adebayor has opened up on the main reasons why he secured a move away from HB Koge.

Last week, the Danish club announced to confirm that they are transferring the Nigerien forward to the Ghanaian side on loan for the rest of the season.

The club further explained that the decision was taken after the player found it difficult to settle because they could not unite him with his girlfriend.

Addressing the claims at his unveiling by Legon Cities FC today, Victorien Adebayor has noted that he opted for a move because he was not getting playing time.

“The problem I had in Denmark was purely footballing. I was not playing and the main reason why I was there was to play and not any girlfriend issue,” he said.

Adebayor continued, “The reason I love Ghana football is because of the wide coverage of Ghanaian football and it gives you the opportunity to get a contract abroad.”

The Nigerien attacker is expected to provide a massive squad boost for Legon Cities FC in the second half of the Ghana Premier League season.
