Former Asante Kotoko and FC Basel defender, Samuel Inkoom has admitted he has missed playing for Ghana's national team, the Black Stars.

The 31-year-old was a kingpin for the Black Stars during his playing days.

He is famously remembered for his output during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa where Ghana played in the quarterfinals for the first time.

Since then, Inkoom has not been part of the national team again.

Speaking to Joy Sports, the experienced defender admitted that he misses playing for the national team.

“I do miss playing for Ghana," he said.

"I have done a lot with my country it’s always great to serve.

"I am still doing my best and playing and I will love any opportunity to do it again,” he said.

Inkoom was part of Ghana's U-20 team that won the World Cup in Egypt in 2009.
