Former Aduana Stars midfielder, Richard Mpong has disclosed that he did not receive any plot of land from the bankroller of the club, Nana Agyemang Badu II as purported to be.
Mpong joined the fire boys in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League season and helped the club win their second league title in the country.
Report in the local media suggested that, the owner of the Dormaa based outfit, Nana Agyemang Badu II had promised each player of the club a plot of land for winning the 2016/2017 league title.
But according to Mpong, he never received any plot of land.
In an interview with Angel FM in Accra, he said, “Playing in GPL is waste of time. If you play in the domestic league and you are able to take care of your family then you are fortunate. If you have two or three kids and at the same time in a relationship with a lady, it will be difficult to survive as a player”
“I helped both Kotoko and Aduana Stars to win the league title but got nothing from it. I heard people saying we have received plots of land from Nana Agyemang Badu for helping the club win the league. I never receive any land from Aduana Stars as incentives for helping the club win the league as purported to be” he said.
