Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Ahmed Toure has stressed that he never received a plot of the land promised to him by Christopher Opoku Mensah during his time at the club.
During a 3rd stint with the Porcupine Warriors club in 2014, the lethal forward was promised a plot of land by the staunch supporter of the Porcupine Warriors club.
Years on, Ahmed Toure in a bid to set the record straight has revealed that he never received what he was promised.
"Everyone in Ghana knows that the man gave me a plot of land. But it is not true. He didn't give me any land as promised. I asked him about the plot of land he promised me but he answered with stories that they are now working on the demarcation", he Burkinabe striker told Hello FM.
He continued, "Maybe He said that to gain Recognition in the Kotoko family But I can emphatically say that. I didn't receive any plot of land from the man. No, I was rather disappointed in him for promising what he could not do. There was no need to promise what you can't do. That's the reason why people had problems with me. I didn't even know where the land was located. He never took me there".
Ahmed Toure, during his 3 stints with Asante Kotoko earned the affection of supporters and remains in the hearts of many. It is understood that he could return to Ghana to play for one of the Premier League clubs in the upcoming season.
