Veteran Sports journalist Kwabena Yeboah says Kwasi Appiah's return to the Black Stars doesn't come as a surprise.
Appiah was reappointed as Ghana coach on Tuesday following the departure of Israeli trainer Avram Grant.
Appiah was in charge of the team from 2012 to 2014 where he led Ghana to the 2013 Nations Cup and the 2014 World Cup.
“I am not surprised by the decision, but anytime an expatriate coach comes and does not perform, then we turn to an indigenous coach," Kwabena Yeboah told Class FM
"I always make the point that I do not understand why African countries will go for expatriate coaches.
" I personally feel insulted as an African that year after year expatriate coaches should handle teams in Africa. I felt very embarrassed that during the last Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon we had as many as 14 expatriate coaches in charge of African teams.”
