Myron Boadu finally had reason to laugh again on Sunday. The striker, one of the stars at AZ last season, had to settle for a role as a reserve in the last matches and was allowed to participate again from the start against Heracles Almelo for the first time since mid-October.

AZ won 2-1 and Boadu ensured that AZ got a penalty kick and also scored a goal himself.

Speaking after the game the 19-year-old forward said he was happy to be back and he could have scored another goal against Heracles Almelo.

"A great evening, although I think I could have made one more with a header,"

"The past few weeks I have respected being on the bench. I have trained very hard and the trainer knows that he can always count on me. It was nice to be back in the base today," he added.
